A Wealth of Expertise and Experience
Coventry and Warwickshire has a growing reputation for staging major sports events and hosting international teams in Olympic, Paralympic and Commonwealth sports.
In the past five years we have hosted the 2005 International Children’s Games, 2007 European Cup of Race-walking, 2007 UK School Games and the 2009 UK Transplant Games. Following the success of these events, Coventry is bidding to become an official host City for the London 2012 Olympic football competition.
Our proposals contain flexibility for you to select training venues from a range of options, based on your own assessments to meet the needs of your athletes, coaches and administrators.

The University of Warwick has excellent sporting facilities on a 700 acre campus and could offer a ’package’ to satisfy the special needs required by elite athletes, whether as part of squad training sessions or training and holding camps prior to major competitions through to the London 2012 Games and beyond.

Coventry Sports and Leisure Centre has the only 50m Olympic sized swimming pool in the West Midlands.
Sited in the heart of the City, this unique facility provides all ages with the very best in sports and leisure provision and promotes a healthy lifestyle by providing local communities with comprehensive opportunities to exercise, learn, keep fit and have fun.
A QUEST accredited operation, with charitable status, the centre hosted the International Children’s games in 2005 and the UK School’s Games in 2007.

The award-winning Ricoh Arena in Coventry is a world-class destination for sport, business and entertainment.

Coventry Sports Foundation has a broadened objective base to provide opportunities to identified areas of disadvantage within Coventry.
With three excellent facilities the Foundation reaches people in the North East of Coventry from Centre AT7; in the South East from the Alan Higgs Centre; and in the South West from the newly constructed Xcel Leisure Centre.

Based in the City Centre, a modern, high-quality facility comprising 2 court hall, 4 court hall, studio and strength and conditioning suite. On-site physiotherapy is available as is use of the Sport Science facilities in the University.

The Pingles Leisure Centre is located within Nuneaton in Warwickshire and is well connected to London via the major motorway and rail networks and is only 15 minutes from Coventry airport and 25 minutes from Birmingham airport.
The floodlit facility comprises spectator seating for 350 people, an eight lane synthetic running track and consists of two sprint straights, nine metre throwing cage, three shot put circles, three long jump run ups as well as offering all the associated equipment and training facilities for all track and field events.

Warwickshire College’s Equestrian Centre at Moreton Morrell is built on a 400 hectare (1,000 acre) site just over four kilometres from the motorway network and 40 kilometres from Birmingham International Airport.
