Shared Volunteer System

The Shared System for Sport & Physical Activity Volunteering across Coventry Solihull & Warwickshire has been created to support clubs to recruit and retain volunteers in a consistent and supported way.

 

Key volunteering organisations in Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire have come together via the Sport Volunteer Action Group. This is led by Coventry University’s Sport and Physical Activity Volunteering Coordinator in partnership with CSW Sport to improve the infrastructure of sports and physical activity volunteering.

 

The group will share one volunteer opportunity registration form and procedure to enhance the ability of all partners to promote sports volunteering to both clubs and the general public.

 

This procedure is called the 'Shared System for Sport & Physical Activity Volunteering' was formed and developed by David Boughey (Sport and Physical Activity Volunteering Coordinator at Coventry University) who said:

 

“The Shared System enables more organisations to share; promote and support new sport volunteer opportunities than ever before in the sub region in a consistent way. We can now confidently support local clubs or groups in their search for new volunteers thanks to this innovative partnership approach."
